Emily May is an alumna of Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance and a member of the U.K. Critics’ Circle. She writes regularly on dance for publications such as The Financial Times, The Times Literary Supplement, Frieze, ArtReview, Dance Magazine, Pointe, and Art Basel, as well as organisations including The Royal Academy of Dance and Royal Opera House. Emily mentors on the dance criticism schemes Resolution Review at The Place, London, and Aerowaves Europe’s Springback Academy, and has delivered guest lectures at ArtEz, Amsterdam University of the Arts, and Bratislava Academy of the Performing Arts. She also hosts and produces the dance interview podcast Terpsichore. From 2021-2024, Emily led editorial projects at the music platform COLORSxSTUDIOS.
